These massive "pass it on" emails are seldom credible, insult my intelligence, and lessen your credibility. As Christians, we should refuse to propagate this email that often contains conflicting inaccurate information. If one passes these things on without first looking into the facts [1], one is not furthering God's kingdom but propagating misinformation instigated by Satan. 

We as Christians should only email information from which people can benefit [2]. We must steward this powerful technology appropriately. We must not simply pass these emails on as they came to us, in doing so we are are shirking our responsibility to stifle gossip; being extremely destructive; not accomplishing godly goals; instilling panic; propagating the enemy's message; and damaging our own health from fear and a feeling of helplessness [3]. Some of these "helpful emails" have only that goal in mind. For, if the enemy has his opposition running in multiple directions out of fear and despair, how can we go about our Father's business? God is in control. The Holy Spirit is here on earth containing the evil [4]. Keep your head on straight, pray over these emails. Pray that you are not working for the wrong side when you propagate these. We must be careful [5].

[5] 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

[6] Ephesians 5:6 (NKJV) Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on the disobedient.
